Been Gone, Too Long

Hi Guys!
I just realized that for a new blog, it has been WAAYYY too long since a post. I always go into things with the best intentions, but , well......you know.
First thing, the Spring Fling Craft Show was.....uuuggghh. I broke even, that's all. Handed out a zillion business cards, and didn't feel like it really helped much. I really am not complaining, but here are a few pointers I will pass on (It was my first show, probably my last.)
1. I was so stoked that my booth was the first booth as people walked in.....until I realized that they weren't going to spend their money right away without seeing what else there was to offer.....and then, by the time they made it back to my booth, I think they had spent it all!
2. Don't expect that if you are selling kid's items that every mom that walks in with their children will pamper them...It was really sad to see how many moms ignored their children and bought them NOTHING.....sheesh. I handed out more free stock than I would have just to get the disappointed looks off the little girl's faces.
3. Bring a fan! It was 110 degrees right inside the door, I looked like I had just stepped out of the shower at the end of the day.
4. Keep good spirits, even if things are tough.

I was happy for the experience. A little red headed girl about 3 years old made my day. She was with her mom in the booth next to me and she sat there ALL DAY LONG, played with her dollies and was generally just so well-behaved and too too cute. She behaved better than many of the patrons!

I am unsure of the fate of my shop TheLittleBittyBakery. Sales have been really slow. I am not sure the economy can support my handmade toys at the moment. I plan to bring it back for the holidays, but for now, I am going to focus solely on my pattern shop. I have so many ideas rolling around in my head and just have not had the time to put them into fruition, but I am on a mission to have a few new patterns done in the next couple of weeks. I am almost finished with my "Taking Care of Baby" Set.......I listed it briefly, but had something I wanted to add before it is really done! So, keep an eye out!
